Legal Aid Clinic (LDC)

The law Development Centre (LDC) Legal Aid Clinic (LAC) has been in existence since the late 1998 and as its main activities training post graduate students in clinical legal education, research, legal awareness programs, training of justice stakeholders, provision of legal Aid services, and development of IEC materials.

The project intends to handle land related disputes in Kibaale distrist that have been caused by the historical anomalies made in the 1900 Buganda Agreement, the large immigration influx and the discovery of Oil in Bunyoro, and the restoration of the Bunyoro Kingdom.

The land is considered both a volatile and political issue and its control continue to be a critical factor affecting the country’s development
